The Challenge to create one 8 foot round and three 48 inch round carpets for ESPN’s College Game Day with sponsor State Farm Insurance for an event being held in Ames, Iowa in just a 48 hour period of time from the initial order to shipping with a fabric edging.
The custom area rugs were all dye-sublimated printed in vivid full color so they could be used over and over again. The advantage to dye-sublimated printed carpets is that they can be steam cleaned or shampooed with no adverse effect to the original printed image of the carpet, letting you use them repeatedly.
Using 16 ounce carpet and finishing with a fabric edging around the perimeter, Enhance a Colour had to first dye-sub print and proof the colors to make sure the corporate logo colors were correct. Once the colors were approved we proceeded to dye-sublimate print and create the 8 foot round rug and the three 48 inch round rugs for an event to be held in Ames Iowa in just three days from the receipt of the order. One 8 foot College Game Day Carpet and one 4 foot College Game Day carpet and two 4 foot State Farm carpets. Once printed and finished, all the carpets were rolled with the image facing out, poly-bagged individually and boxed for a FedEx overnight shipment to Iowa.
